
Scott Kiester, President
Scott has been a certified Texas Master Naturalist since 2003 and an Audubon Master Birder for North Central Texas since 2017. Active in the Elm Fork Chapter of the Texas Master Naturalists, Scott is the TMN volunteer project manager for LLELA and coordinates volunteer opportunities. He is a founding member of the Friends of LLELA.


Sue Yost has more than ten years as a LLELA volunteer. She is the hike leader for monthly LLELA bird walks and an Elm Fork Master Naturalist.


Hilton Dickerson, Board Member
Hilton has lived in the DFW area for more than 50 years and a member of the Friends of LLELA since its founding. As a Texas Master Naturalist, he has been a regular volunteer at LLELA since 2009 and has served as Treasurer since 2018.


Angela is a semi-retired educator and Texas Master Naturalist with a passion for reconnecting people with the natural world. A LLELA volunteer since 2017, she leads first Saturdays invasives removal and is the Natural Pathways Program Coordinator.


Michael Phife, Webmaster
Michael, a former wildlife biologist and now computer programmer, serves as the board’s webmaster. He is passionate about nature, traveling, and spending time outdoors with his family.


Dixie is an environmental science educator at Flower Mound High School. She has been bringing her students out to LLELA for the past several years, instilling an urgent love and respect for the Blackland Prairie. Dixie is currently working on her Texas Master Naturalist certificate looking forward to upcoming years of continued volunteering and learning. She is serving as the speaker liaison/contact for the board.


Ashleigh McCoy, Membership Coordinator
Ashleigh has a bachelor’s degree in Nonprofit Leadership Studies, a background in environmental advocacy and education, and a passion for conservation. As the Membership Chair, Ashleigh recruits members and manages membership communication including the newsletter
