The LISD Environmental Learning Staff have partnered with the University of North Texas and the Lewisville Lake Environmental Learning Area (LLELA) to create a service learning program for high school and college students.
As we begin our third year, we welcome educators to learn more about this exciting hands-on program where students contribute to restoration at LLELA while learning more about the environment.
This Open House is perfect for high school science teachers, program sponsors (NHS, Student Council, service clubs, etc.) and university professors. Program coordinators will review the program’s objectives and operations, including a tour of areas where students commonly work.
